Operation
- Yoke
- Bolted housing closure
- Flexible flat membrane
- Piston shaft
- Spherical body
- Round valve seat
The opening and closing of the valve performed either by a pneumatic actuator or manually by means of a crank. During opening and closing, the diaphragm is continuously supported by a unique fan support system, which relieves process pressure on the diaphragm, thus protecting it against overstress and/or pressure spikes. This system significantly increases diaphragm reliability and lifetime.
Open position
- Yoke
- Reciprocating fan
- Valve housing
- Seat seal
- Valve shaft
- Diaphragm 50% supported
Closed position
- Yoke
- Static fan
- Valve shaft
- Valve housing
- Seat seal
- Diaphragm 100% supported
Advantages
- Seal is a flexible flat membrane with fan support system.
- Membrane material is single-layer PTFE TFM 1705 (FDA, USP Class VI), chemically inert material.
- Body bolt gaskets with metal limiter prevent seal from being over squeezed.
- Suitable for all kind of media used in food and pharmaceutical industries
- 3A and EHEDG approved
